Rita Bard



Rita Bard brought in her works today for our upcoming Mind the Gap show. I love her work because of its strangeness and her use of color. In a way her imagery is what we drew as little children only with an adult sensibility to it. Her imagery will include rubber ducky stamps and bunnies doing magic but then you will see sophisticated details such as Le Corbusier chairs and Mondrian paintings hidden amongst her composition. The same kind of favorite things you would draw at a younger age, but with a knowledge of what your favorite things as a grownup are too...
